Nilens Jord is based in Denmark and terms and conditions of sale are subject to Danish conditions, and Danish law and jurisdiction apply to contracts entered into in accordance with these terms and conditions.

1. Placing an Order
Placing orders via our website is not a legally binding agreement. Nilens Jord can therefore cancel your order due to printing errors, technical problems, supply failure and similar situations. 
Binding order confirmation/invoice will not be sent to you until we have shipped the items you have ordered. Once you have placed an order via our website, our system will automatically send you an email to indicate which items you have ordered. This is only an electronic receipt for receipt of your order. 
Please note that the automatic reply (via e-mail) is not a legally binding order confirmation in which a contract has been entered into. The contract is not binding until you have received an e-mail from Nilens Jord informing us that we have sent the product. 

2. Payment
Nilensjord.dk offers Dankort, Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, MobilePay and Gift cards. Nilens Jord Webshop does not charge a fee on payment cards. In connection with the completion of the payment transaction, your payment details will be saved until the individual payment transactions have been completed. Your payment and card details are stored at Nilens Jord's chosen PCI (Payment Card Industry - Data Security Standard) certified partner, Bambora. The information is therefore stored in a secure PCI certified environment that meets international security standards until payment transactions have been completed. When you use payment cards on Nilensjord.dk, only Nilens Jord's 'PCI certified partner - and not Nilens Jord - will have access to your card information. Processing of your card information is therefore only a matter between you and Nilens Jord 'PCI certified business partner, even if this occurs while you are using Nilensjords.dk.

3. Delivery
We offer the following types of delivery: GLS ParcelShop - GLS Business Delivery - GLS to the private address. Delivery times may vary during peak periods such as Black Friday. Orders containing ordered items will generally have a longer delivery time. As a rule, ordered products are sent together - they are not delivered. Niles Jord Webshop has responsibility for the goods until you have received them.
We deliver within the EU with the exception of Greenland and the Faroe Islands. The delivery time is 3-5 working days.
When collecting at the packing location, a text message will be sent as well as an e-mail regarding the pick-up time from GLS.

4. Quantity restriction and prohibition of purchase with a view to resale
Nilens Jord has a volume limit of 10 items per product per order for B2C customers to prevent purchases from Nilensjord.dk with the intention of reselling.  
If Nilens Jord believes that a customer has attempted to circumvent Nilens Jord's rules and purchases goods with the intention of reselling, Nilens Jord reserves the right to cancel one or more of these orders, without the customer being able to make any claim against Nilens Jord.

5. Right of withdrawal
Nilens Jord provides a 14-day right of withdrawal, applicable from the day you receive the goods according to Danish legislation on distance selling. If you have purchased an item from Nilens Jord, you have the right to cancel the purchase. The withdrawal period expires 14 days after the day you have received your goods. You must notify us within 14 days of receipt that you wish to cancel your purchase. The notice must be given by contacting customer service at info@nilensjord.dk. In your notification, you must clearly state that you wish to exercise your right of withdrawal and your order number. You cannot cancel by simply refusing to accept the goods. You must also clearly notify us of this.

Christmas gifts can be returned until January 31st.

5.A. Returns:
Orders must be retained without undue delay and no later than 14 days after the date you have notified us that you wish to cancel your purchase. It is not possible to deliver the return in person. 
Return freight costs must be borne by the buyer. When exchanging an item, all parts must be returned.
With returns, the purchaser is responsible for ensuring that the product is packaged securely. The purchaser bears the risk of the parcel/goods until we receive it. Therefore, save the postal receipt and any track and trace number. Nilens Jord does not accept parcels via COD.

5.B. Goods exempt from the right of cancellation
The following product types are exempt from the right of cancellation:

  • Delivery of goods that are likely to deteriorate or become quickly oudated
  • Gift cards (both physical and digital gift cards)

You also lose your right of cancellationl if:

  • You break the seal on goods that are not suitable for return for health protection or hygiene reasons. For example, cosmetics etc. The term "seal” also includes special packaging which protects the product and serves as a guarantee that it has not been opened;
  • also includes special packaging that protects the goods and serves as a guarantee that the goods have not been opened

5.C. Condition of the goods when you return them
You are only liable for any deterioration in the value of the goods due to handling other than what is necessary to determine the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods. Goods without sealing/packaging that have been tested are considered used, which means that if you cancel the purchase, you will not receive a refund of the purchase amount.

5.D. Repayment of the purchase amount and return of the item
If you cancel your purchase, you will of course be refunded the amount you paid, including any delivery costs. In the event of a deterioration of quality for which you are liable, this purchase will be deducted. 

However, this does not apply in the following cases:

  • We are not able to refund delivery costs if you have purchased several items in an order and only regret part of your purchase.
  • Nor can we reimburse additional costs if you have chosen a delivery method that is more expensive than the cheapest form of delivery we offer.  

If you regret purchasing an item, you must pay the return delivery costs.

We will refund your payment without undue delay and in any event no later than 14 days from the date on which we have been notified of your decision to cancel your purchase. We will process such a refund using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise.
Please note that we may withhold the refund until we have received the product, unless you have provided proof of having returned it before then.

Please enclose a copy of the order confirmation. If you are unable to print this out, you can provide the same information as it contains.

6. Warranty
The provisions of the Danish Sale of Goods Act shall apply to purchase of goods.
When you shop on nilensjord.dk, you have 24 months' right of return if your product is defective. This means that you can have the item repaired, exchanged, refunded or discounted, depending on the specific situation.
It is, of course, a requirement that the complaint is justified and that the defect has not arisen as a result of incorrect use of the product or other damaging behaviour.

How do I complain? 
If you wish to complain about a product, please contact Customer Service at info@nilensjord.dk. Please send us a picture of the product together with the description of the fault.
You must submit your complaint within a ”reasonable time” after you have discovered the defect in the product. If you make a return within two months after the defect has been discovered, the return will always be applicable.

We require the following information when you return the item to us

When you return the item, please state your name, order number and the details of the issue.
Please note! We do not accept parcels sent on delivery or similar.

Remember that the product must always be returned in proper packaging, and remember to obtain a receipt for shipping, so that we can refund your freight costs.

7. Personal data policy
Nilens Jord works to ensure the greatest possible data security. Processing takes place in accordance with the rules in our Personal Data Policy for Nilens Jord. You can read more here about how your data is processed, when it is deleted and what rights you have.
When you place an order, we require your name, address, telephone number, email address, delivery address and our payment provider requires your credit card/debit card information. 

We will only use this information to process the order and will contact you if we require any further information. Only the information that is absolutely necessary is passed on to a third party for the purpose of processing order.

All information is stored for five years, as the Danish Bookkeeping Act requires the storage of accounting records for five years. 

8. Right of appeal
If you wish to complain about your purchase, please contact our customer service on +45 4495m 8000 or info@nilensjord.dk.
If we are unable to resolve the issue, you may submit an appeal to the Center for Klagelløsning, Nævnenes Hus, Toldboden 2, 8800 Viborg, Denmark. 

Complaints procedure
If you as a consumer want to complain about your purchase, please contact our customer service on tel: +45 4495 8000 or info@nilensjord.dk. If we do not succeed in finding a solution, you can send a complaint to the House of Nævnenes Hus, Toldboden 2, 8800 Viborg via The complaint portal for the House of Nævnenes Hus.

To be able to complain, the product or service you want to complain about must have cost at least DKK 1,110 and no more than DKK 100,000. However, for complaints about clothes and shoes, the price must have been at least DKK 720. It costs a fee to have the complaint processed.

9. Reservation and Disclaimer
Nilens Jord makes reservations for any tax changes, price and correction errors, technical errors, sold out goods and force majeure, including labour disputes and defects or delays in deliveries from subcontractors.
